It all started after the birth of my second child. I was now the mother of a baby and active 3-year-old. I found it so hard to meet up with friends, playgroups, or business people anywhere other than my home or theirs. This became even more challenging as my baby son became a fast crawler and walker.

Coffee shops with comfy sofas were the domain of quiet Internet surfers or relaxing readers – not a place for us, even for take out! Eating out was challenging.

So the idea for Chat & Play Café was born. The name reflects my English background, and comes from the customary English saying: “Come over for a cup of tea and a chat, while the kids play”.

Chat & Play Café is where you and the children can relax and have fun. There are two highly-visible play areas, so that you can relax and enjoy the ambiance while your child stays in view.  The main play area is primarily designed for pre-schoolers, with a professionally-installed play set and safety floor, and is contained within a special no-climb net fence. It also has a play house, play school bus and a train crawling tunnel.

The smaller self-contained play area has stimulating toys suitable for infants (sitters and crawlers particularly), as well as baby swings and exosaucers. Both play areas are handicap accessible.

After playing, treat your child to a variety of healthy food and beverage options to satisfy even the most picky eater.

There are also regular sessions of story tellers, craft times and music fun.

Now that the children are content, you can relax on our comfy leather sofas, while sipping a tasty cappuccino, tea or smoothie. Order a healthy Boars Head sandwich, salad, wrap, panini or baked potato while enjoying the peace or the company of friends. Got a big group – call and reserve a big table!
